About Teresa

Teresa M. Oliver is a writer, speaker, goat wrangler, world-traveler, and manure manager. She lives and writes on the small ranch (the “ranchito”) on Red Mountain in Washington State, where she shares her life with a rotating cast of horses, chickens, ducks, goats in flower crowns, and a whole lot of stories waiting to be told.

Her work blends humor, heartbreak, and hard-won wisdom, often drawn from her own wild experiences — including surviving a near-fatal horse wreck, rebuilding her life (more than once), and navigating love and loss.

She’s been featured in MaryJane’s Farm, The Oregonian, and other publications, and speaks regularly at events about business, resilience, and storytelling. She is currently working on multiple writing projects, including a memoir about surviving both injury and betrayal, and a collection of short essays about farm life, fear, and finding your voice.

When she’s not writing or teaching workshops on her farm, you’ll find her on the back of a horse, in the soap studio, or plotting her next great escape – usually involving horses and foreign travel.

She’s lousy at writing bios and feels like she’s (reluctantly) campaigning to be on a singles’ site.
